    Description

    VINTAGE 1950's CHARACTER WALKING DOLL. She has her original gown, pantaloons, and silver shoes. Her head turns when she is walked and her eyes open and close. The back of her head is marked CHAR Doll. She was my last doll at age 11, and has been around for a long time! I mistakenly gave her to a friend who knew someone who could restore her.All she did was put some stockings on and add some flowers and ribbon to the dress. She still looks pretty good for an old girl! I believe someone who knows something about dolls would love this charmer. Just found out that she was called "Sweet Sue", hard plastic walker, auburn saran hair rooted in skullcap. She came in 15", 18", 22", and 25". she came in a Pink, or aqua blue lace and tulle gown, puffed sleeves, shirred neckline, velvet bow around her waist, with a pearl tiara "American Character".
