Vintage Effanbee Anne Shirley Doll

Description

This vintage (circa 1940) Effanbee Anne Shirley doll is 20.5 inches tall.  I believe the clothing is from that period, but not sure if it came with the doll or not.  The skirt has four layers and she has underwear to match the dress.  The lace is partly detached around the neckline and the elastic on the sleeves is stretched out.  I believe the sandals and socks did not come with the doll.  The Effanbee tag is on her wrist.  This doll is a jointed, composition doll with sleep eyes and I believe the wig is mohair.  There are bobby pins holding up some of the curls near her face.  I don't see any craze cracks, but there are some light marks on her forehead.  On one of her hands, the fingernails appear to be more "orange" than the other hand with the tag.
