produced by Effanbee around 1987. She comes in the later pink box. SHe wears the classic blue and white checked jumper outfit we all expect from Dorothy. This version has the red shoes. Her shoes retain the original clear plastic protectors. Dress tagged Effanbee on inside rear seam.
Measures between 11 inches and 12 inches tall.  Has a 5-piece jointed all-vinyl straight leg non-walker body.  Rosy cheeks and a porcelain complexion.  The vinyl has such a lovely smooth finish on these dolls.  Sleep eyes with brush lashes.  Rooted hair.  Marked on back and neck "Effanbee".
The 11-12" size is perfect for showing off in a cabinet or on a shelf but don't forget these are a great size for play as well and they were produced in the USA.  Wholesome, classic dolls in timeless character costumes.
Condition issues: box has some dents and dings. Doll had a film on her eyes that cleaned right off.
No Smells.  No fading.
