without sacrificing depth on copper & silver.

. . . "Concentric";   This means the transmitter and receiver windings share the same center.  In most ground, this is deeper and discriminates better than a DD winding pattern. It is also much easier to pinpoint with!

The Troy Custom Detectors where custom built first

This final series of the Troy Shadow Detectors were
redesigned by David Johnson and built by Fisher Electronics.
The Troy Detectors have a reputation for great depth in
even highly mineral soil. A newer version of this detector
still exists in production today in the Fisher F-19
The consumers driving the metal detector industry are convinced that digital meters with target ID is the only way, while a honest manufacture or a true expert will tell you
if it "sounds good," forget about what the meter says. . . DIG!
Very few treasure hunters have found a U.S. gold coin (I haven't)
And for those who have . . . usually nobody believes them.
Think about this; On a typical Visual Target ID detector, a .00 gold coin reads on the meter as (tin-foil), a .50 gold coin reads as a (beer can tab), a .00 gold coin reads as a aluminum screw or bottle cap! But, on this detector, each of these coins sound like sweet treasure!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE!
This coil comes with this package,
but it was repaired
. This was the former owner's
personal favorite coil. The original bottom resin-core fill had cracked. The coil worked fine,
but the crack needed to be fixed. I prepped the surface, then filled the crack, and
coated the bottom surface, with  2 part epoxy, J-B Weld.
I worked hard filing and sanding the bottom of the coil to get it finished, when
I noticed the coil cord was dry rotted and the outer cover was falling apart!
I cut the cord back to good solid wire, about 3 inches from the coil, and grafted a new cord onto the coil
using solder and shrink wrap.
Usually a repair like this should never be considered submersible.
And this one shouldn't either!
Well, I have had wonderful results with Flex-Seal so I used it to seal the cord but that is where I should
have stopped! I coated the whole coil in the rubber so now it has become a dust magnet!
This repaired coil works (above), but consider it as "
just a free bonus
" with no guarantees!
This next coil (below) is a 7 inch concentric and it is in fine shape!
