2 Rare Hyde Thick Metal Scrapping Tools # C-8 & C71

Description

My daughter highlighted the makers marks with a sharpie so they would be readable. These are hard to find. They are both made out of good thick carbon steel and are very stiff. I measured and the longer one the steel is about 3/16" thick and the shorter one is about 1/8" thick. I cleaned and oiled some. There is a very small amount of rust and a little pitting, nothing terrible. The steel on both is nice and smooth. The shorter one has a three inch blade and the other is about 3 1/8" wide. There are some cracks in the wood at the end of the longer one. The end is still very solid and it must have been glued at one time and could be again, if ever needed.
